Bagge Strawberries, a family run business, started in 1999 by John and Shelly Bagge, in Independence, Iowa. At that time their three children were under the age of seven. The business was started so the couple could save money for their children's college education.

 

The strawberry business would also help financially along with the family farm operation. ​The business originally started with an acre and a half of strawberries. After the business gained popularity, the couple added more acres to keep up with demand. Today, Bagge Strawberries has 32 acres of strawberries near Independence, Iowa that ripen during the month of June.

 

The strawberry patch grows many varieties that meet customer's needs, whether it be for fresh eating, baking, or freezing. Customers leave the patch content and happy with their delicious berries.
